Essay On The Autobiography Of A Kettle

Essay On The Autobiography Of A Kettle.I am a small, black kettle but I have a lot of interesting' things to tell as everyday something new happens to me. The kitchen is not always a cheerful place in which to live. but still I find plenty of excitement there, and I am quite happy and contented with my lot. I am not beautiful because I have a long neck and as old fashioned hat. The tea pot makes fun of my long neck. She also ridicules of my hat. You see my hat sits right on my head, where it should be.

Only the other day my neighbour teased me about my dirty face. What does it matter if my face is sometimes dirty ? I am always clean within. Let me remind my friend, as she smilingly sits upon the hob, that she cannot sit upon the fire and sing as I do.

I faces different situation everyday I find it a great trial to have a cold bath every morning and every evening. Oh, dear ! I am cold the one minute and hot the next. However, I have become used to that.
I am quite friendly with the poker, but I have no use for the tongs. "Where are your legs ?" said the tongs one day. Well, in my opinion, it is much better to have a large body and no legs, than a pair of legs like stilts, and no body.

Essay On Journey In An Over Crowded Bus

Essay On Journey In An Over Crowded Bus.

It was Sunday morning. I had decided to visit my friend Raza who lives in Shandra. The place is quite far off from my residence in Sanat Nagar and the rickshaw would have charged at least rupees forty. So. I though of taking a little trouble in a G.T.S. bus to cover the whole distance for rupees four only. As I reached the bus stop. I saw a huge crowd swelling on the road. They all .made a dash when they saw a bus coming. The buses were packed to the capacity and some passengers were hanging on the rails.

The lucky ones managed to put their toe on the foot hold and left everything else to good. There is no need of pushing ourselves inside. It is done with full force by those who board the bus after us. It was Sunday. So every one was trying to get maximum out of the all route ticket which costs only Rs.4.00. The private buses observed holiday. The crowd was increasing every minute.

As I caught the bus. the fellow commuters rubbed me in. There were only fifty seats in the bus but more than hundred persons were traveling in it. The number of passengers standing in the corridors was in no way less than those occupying the seats. There are eight seats reserved for the ladies but they were all occupied by young men. The old women were standing in the corridor and requesting the boys to vacate the seats. The boys had turned their 'faces aside and posed as if they were deeply observed in the scene outside. It was not easy to get to the exit door. One had to do some tight rope walking as if it was a circus show.

My stop was coming nearer. I started pushing my way ahead. Suddenly. I felt some one touching my purse. I tried to grab him but he had already slipped. I looked around foolishly because not only the money but the ticket was also in the purse

I shouted loudly and called on the driver to take the bus to the police station. He kept on driving till my stop came. He told me that I would not gain anything because the, pick pocket might have de-boarded immediately. I had learnt a new lesson, not to be 'penny wise and pound foolish'.

"Essay On A Busy Street.I live in a crowded locality Of the area and the crowd Presents the scene of a Mela in the evening. People return from the offices, the students are back from the"The house wives come out to purchase vegetables, fruits and other domestic nee. Some young boys and girls dress themselves in their Sunday best and get busy in window-shopping.There is maximum crowd in the vegetable market. The ladies move from stall to stall and bargain for each and every item.

They are also very careful about short weighing, and keep an eye on the weighing machine. The shopkeepers have a sweet tongue and try to satisfy their customers by their polite talk. The confectioner's shop is another place of attraction. Little children guide their wards to the shop and make them buy the sweets of their choice. The girls always go in for 'chat pakoras- whereas the boys prefer "Burfi or Jalebis". The street hawkers pedal their wares very nicely. The balloon sellers carry a whole bunch of inflated balloons to attract small children. The toy sellers set their stalls on the pavements.

The news-boys sell the evening newspaper in a very nice manner. They shout out the sensational news but keep the paper folded. As soon as the customer makes the payment. he is surprised to read different head lines. Small children cannot control their games. They throw the ball and run to pick it up. It is very difficult for the cyclists and scooterists to apply brakes and save them. Kite flying is another hobby. When the kite rises high up in the sky, the eyes of the flier are glued to the string. They do not care for the crowd around and are injured in stray incidents.

The whole atmosphere is spoiled by the beggars and the cows. The beggars use every technique to win the sympathy of the old ladies. They apply different colours to their bodies. Some of them are dressed in rags.
The scene of a busy street is very interesting. Everybody is for himself but despite it, all of them make the street busy. Without people there can be no hustle and hustle. It is the people, whether the sellers or buyers. make the scene beautiful.

Essay On Science Is A Curse

Essay On Science Is A Curse. The atom bombs in the possession of the U.S.A. and U.S.S.R. are powerful enough to blow up the world within no time. The star war will carry the struggle in the space and pollute the whole sphere so badly that no life of any type will survive. The scientists are busy making further advances in the field of armaments and the day is not very far when by switching on one button, the whole humanity will become a thing of The past. The animals in the ocean may survive and may make another effort towards the evolution of new species on the earth.

When billions of people are dying of starvation, more than fifty percent of the budget is being spent on war games. The goverrunents of different countries are busy in making a nuclear device. The cost of one bomb will cross a thousand crores rupees. The common man in that country is also ill clad and ill fed. In Iran and Iraq, a terrible, war is was fought. The whole wealth of both these countries N, beingconsumed by the hell fires of war. The nuclear power plants pose a very serious danger. In Russia, the Chernoble plant spread radiation all around and the neighbouring countries also felt the shock. The radiation level is rising so high that some animals have started dying out.

The smoke and pollution left by big industries is spoiling the whole atmosphere. Last years in Lahore. hundreds of people were killed due to the leakage of poisonous gas. In Switzerland, a private company let out the pollutants in the river and the whole marine life of the river was wiped out. Ultimately all this poisonous material reaches the ocean and kills fish of every type.

The whole work is done by machines. One machine can work for thousands of persons. Un-employment is increasing at a very fast rate. Even those people who work in the factories, sit idle the whole day. We have forgotten manual labour which can keep us physically fit. We cannot walk even for a kilo metre because we depend more and more on automobiles. The result is that most of us suffer from diseases of various types. We cannot enjoy a healthy, vigorous and busy life. Science started as our servant but is becoming our master very fast. It is getting on our nerves and the day is not far off when the entire humanity will suffer a great deal.

Essay On A Drowning Tragedy

Essay On A Drowning Tragedy. It was the month of July. A fair was being held on the banks of the lake near my town. The lake was flooded due to heavy rains. I along with my friends went to see the fair as well as to bathe in the lake. There was a great rush of people. On the banks of the lake, there were many stalls and hawkers. The bathers also kept their belongings on the bank. There was a great hustle and bustle. Most of the people were taking bath in the lake. I also took off my clothes and jumped into the cool and clear water of the lake.

Hardly had I swum for a few minutes when I heard the cries of a downing man. I swam towards the drowning man. When I saw him he was in a precarious condition. Sometimes he went under water while at other times he again happened to come on the surface of the water. Many swimmers rushed towards the eddying waters cf the lake in which the man was engulfed. The drowning man was caught in the whirlpool.
People tried their best to rescue the man but in their earlier attempts they failed to catch hold of the drowning man.

By this time there was also a huge crowd on the banks of the lake. In no time an expert diver dived into the lake and after searching for some time under the surface of water, he brought the man cut. The man was in an unconscious state. He was made to lie on the side of the bank. Immediately he was taken to the nearby dispensary. Where he was given artificial respiration and medicines. Anybody was worried about the victim.

The parents of the man also arri .ed at the dispensary. They were all non-plussed. They were burst"ng fo -th into tears on seeing the precarious condition of their son. 7 'eryone was praying to God for his life.
Even after administering oxygen for one hour he did not regain consciousness. Other medicines were also given but there seemed to be no signs of improvenlent. People, friends relatives were also standing silently and solemnly waiting for the man to come back to his senses.

Despite the best efforts put in by the doctor and his assistants, there was no sign of improvement, rather his condition deteriorated from bad to worse. Soon the doctor pronounced him dead. On hearing this sad and tragic news. everyone was bewailing and bemoaning the dead man while his parents wept bitterly. This was the worst ever drowning tragedy which I happened to witness with my own eyes.
