Essay On Hand vs Machine And Its Benefits

Essay On Hand Vs Machine And Its Benefits.......

From my point of view, there are limy factors affecting  whether to choose an item made by hand or by machine. The main factor to make a judgment is whether WC use the item for our daily life or for collection and decoration purposes. For items used in our daily life, the choices we make depend on the following factors: function, form, and price. Function is the most important thing for us. If a product is beautiful, but it is not able to perform the function, it can only be called a decoration, or a piece of garbage.

For example, when we buy a TV, what we really care about first it is the quality of the picture and sound, how many stations it can receive, and whether it can be connected easily to the VCR and DVD player at home. The second factor that affects our choice of a product for daily use is its form Is the TV too big, too small, or too ugly? Will it fit into the living room? Will it be compatible with the colours of other appliances and the furniture? The third factor we may consider is the price. Even if we are very happy with the item, there is no meaning if we cannot afford it. So, in our daily life, there is really no difference whether our clothes or furniture arc made by hand or made by machine. It just doesn't matter as long as they can perform their function. For items for collection and decoration, it is a completely different story. Ancient tools and historical artifacts have more market and educational value than modem day massively produced products, and traditional handicrafts make good tourist souvenirs and beautiful decoration for the house. Therefore, when it comes to items for collection and decoration, I would definitely choose items made by hand, because they are just so special.

In conclusion, depending on different items and different uses, I will make different choices.
Every city has one or more zoos. For a while, people think that a zoo is no useful purpose. Ifi Vete faced with this issue, I would think that zoos are useful. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.

The first mason is that zoos am ollen used as places to preserve the endangered species, such as the giant pandas and tigers. It is the conservation of animals that is the most important function of a zoo. With the advances in reproductive technologies, which assist in breeding captive animals, the zoo has become the most important place for animal consmation. Thanks to zoos, certain species of animals have been saved from extinction. Such animals are bred in captivity and when they are ready to survive in the wild, are reintroduced to their original habitat - in the rain forests of Brazil, for instance.

In the second place, child= can obtain direct knowledge about a variety of animals by visiting zoos. They can see what a tiger is like, hear various sounds of birds and tell one animal from another. If them is no such a place, how can they make contact with animals? They may never have a chance to see various animals even though they learn many from books. When I was a little girl, I liked animals very much, especially birds. But I could not feed them for myself, so the zoo which was located near my home was the place I went to most fmquent. And I really love these places.

Finally, a zoo is a place for fun. In fact, this is why it is so good at educating the public about the importance of conserving wildlife and the environment: it puts fun into education. Seeing pictures is not the same as seeing animals at close up. What makes visiting a zoo so enjoyable is our close contact with them. Therefore a zoo not only attracts many tourists from other countnes, it also allows us to sec, without having to leave home, big cats and exotic animals of distant countries.

In summaty, 1 believe that a zoo has some useful pumoscs to serve: to preserve the endangered species, to educate the public about wildlife, and for its visitors to have fun. So a zoo of coruse is a useful place for us and we should have The preference of machine-made clothes or hand-made cloth is a matter of one's personality. Some people who like clothes produced by machine argue that the clothes are much cheaper, and the machine work surely beat those handmade ones. On the contrast, people enthusiastic at handmade clothes hold the idea of "rare is good" and they also believe that handmade items bear more meaning in them such as love, concern and friendship. As far as I am concerned, I would stand by the side of handmade advocates and my reasons go as following.

First of all, I believe there are some advantages in machine-made clothes, the main of which is their availability. It saves you time and energy to buy a machine made clothes in a department store rather than make a cloth by yourself or your tailor. And low price is also an attractive merit. As machine made clothes take advantage of whole made and wholesale, the cost of which definitely much cheaper than that of a single tailored one.

In spite of the above advantages of the machine made clothes, however, I still prefer handmade clothes personally. Handmade clothes have particular patterns and designs that entirely tally with my own tastes. When wearing the handmade clothing which is designed by myself, I will never wony about running across a woman who wearing the same dress as me. My clothes will be the only one in the world, the thought comforts me most.
Furthermore, no wonder that handmade clothing is the fittest clothing to you because it is totally tailor made for youiself. Consequently it will make your figure look best and make your appearance more confident.
Finally, a handmade cloth could be the most precious gift to your parents or fiends. The cloth will convey your love and concern to the gift receiver.

In brief, the advantages of a handmade cloth outweigh those of a machine made one so much that everyone could draw the conclusion that handmade clothes are better.
Them are many items that arc either made by hand or by machine. For example, clothes arc made both by hand and machine. My pmference would be machine made clothing because the most merchants would carry it for sale during certain seasons and it is not as expensive. There may be one or two disadvantages to the clothes made by machine; however, I believe that there are for mom advantages. The reasons for my view go as follows.

One of the minor disadvantages of a machine-made clothing is its quality. For instance, I would often purchase my clothing that is imported Wm Hong Kong or Korea, which has better quality than that !rude of my own country. In general, machine-made clothes are produced in lame quantities according to season. When the season changes, another line of fashion will be on its way out for sale. Consequently, many businesses woukl not use higher-quality materials to produce its' line of clothing.

The main disadvantage of a machine-made clothing is the quality of the materials being used. But the advantages far out weight hand made clothing because clothes made by machines are produced faster. Due to the quicker praluction; people can have access to the latt styles and colors. For instance, swimsuits, pants, shirts, tops, etc... have different types of styles, colors, and cuts. Due to the seasonal trends, majority of the people does not WOITy about the quality of the clothes.

The second advantage of machinennde clothes is the price. Because these clothes are produced in larger numbers and the quality is lower, the pricing will also be lower than hand made clothes. Due to the tross production of machine- made clothes, merchants will be able to purchase a certain line of fashion in larger quantities. With larger quantities of same fashion around, the prices will also be cheaper. This will be a positive situation for the consumers, whom would like to spend as little as they can, but still wants to remain in fashion. )

Although I agree that there is a disadvantage to machine-made clothes, I feel that the advantages are more important. Machine-made clothes can bring the latest fashions from Japan and certain western countries. In addition, the price is lower. Therefore, in my opinion, these advantages play an important role in the consumers' decision to purchase clothes.

Success or Money Essay Which Is So Important

Success And Money Essay And Which Is So Important

The notion of success holds different meanings for different people and groups. Such meanings have changed and evolved over time. Actually, many propose that possessing an abundance of tnoncy implies success. However, this view is rendered obsolete in the minds of those individuals who hold that one's success cannot be measured strictly by money.

Material possession has been traditionally accepted as the measurement of ones success or social status. When we initially refer to someone, we mutinely mention how much money he owns and thereby believe this individual to be quite successful if he is wealthy. In addition to this perpetuated concept, owning a lot of money is typically related to one's work ability and thus some people may simply consider money as a prime measurement of one's success.

However, this view has changed recently since many people have come to recognise that money in many cases cannot bring about happiness, health and success. A more precise, contemporaneous definition of success means doing the things one perceives are valuable to themselves and beneficial for othets. The winner of the Nobel Prize for peace may think he is has achieved success although he is rewarded little financial benefit. A person who loves animals and makes an effort to save animals that are on a path of extinction may think he has gained success although he may have expended all of his money on his career.
Another individual may define success as being able to make artistic masterpieces that can be accepted by public. As a composer, success is having his work praised by adoring fans and who help cause the work to be bought the world over. Similarly, holding an exhibition in a fatnous art gallety may connote success for a painter.

People adhere to various concepts defining success. Money surely cannot be the only measurement of success. Acquiring true happiness in life and attaining success means having the freedom and capability of doing that which you enjoy and believing it to be valuable.
Since people's criteria for success differ, there is much debate over whether only those who make a lot of money are successfully. As far as I am concerned, in today's society that stresses on individual achievement, money provides the best evaluation of one's accomplishment.

To begin with, as a standardised measurement used for comparing values, money is objective rather than subjective, so it is considered an authentic reflection of one's achievement. As different people hold different understandings of success, assessing the amount of one's earnings has become universally accepted as a rule to measure one's success. Each year, Fortune Magazine publishes a special issue to rank the top 100 most successful people throughout the world according to their yearly income, because there are no other methods to rely on.

In addition, the amount of money one makes is the consequence of one's hard work and talent. To deny the accomplishment wealth brings is equal to deny the sources from which it springs. In the past, I only believed in spiritual values and then leapt rashly to the conclusion that the best thing in life involves no money at all. It is my uncle who showed me the significance of money and changed my opinion. He told me he respected money and made it a goal to strive for in his way towards success. Because he would have to pay a price for it in tenns of time, thought and energy. Gradually, I came to realize it is the mental and physical labor he devotes in the process of making money that paves his way for self-accomplishment, and thus deserves appreciation and respect.

Finally, money is the most powerfully possession in one's lifetime. As everyone knows, success is the ability to do whatever one wants to and to be satisfied with oneself There is hardly anything that can be done without a certain amount of money. Indeed, with money, one can meet his or her material
demand in life, such as taking effective medicines, living in magnificent houses, eating various delicious food, and so on. Also, with money, one can do a lot of meaningful things to benefit others, such as donations to poor people. All these will not only satisfy one's need for personal fulfilment, but also add grandness to one's success.

In conclusion, money serves as a measurement of one's achievement. But we should keep in mind that only those who obtain money by hardworking and use it to benefit the society are really successful.

Essay What Is Advertising,Marketing And Its Types

What Is Advertising,Marketing And Its Types....
The issue of the role of advertising in our lives is a very controversial one. Some people think that advertising encourages us to buy things that we tray do not need, because they claim that advertisements have the power to influence on our purchasing behaviour. Nevertheless, my point of view is that advertisements arc incredible source of imagination about new products that may improve our lives.

First of all, these advertisements can help us to choose things easier and also save our time. For example, as a result of such an advertisement, a few years ago I bought very useful tool to lose my weight. The only thing that I needed to do was to attach it to any problem area of my body for twenty minutes a day. Thus I did not to have do heavy exercises to lose my weight. The additional advantage was that this tool also helped me save time for my favourite activities.
The second reason is that quite often advertisements tell us about new products that can save our money. Again as a result of such an advertisement I bought some special micro fiber cloths, which could help me to clean my apartment only by using water. Thanks to its specific characteristics and possibility of long-time usage, I do not need to buy any more different kinds of liquids or powders for house cleans. Therefore the advancement of this kind of cloth saved my money.

Last but not least advertisements can tell us about new products, which bring us new ways to cook healthier food. Fore instance, after ‘vatching a television advertisement, a friend of mine bought a special pot, with which she can prepare meat and vegetables without using any water or oil. This pot uses only the natural hot steam to cook. Thus it helps to keep more vitamins and minerals in the food, and get rid of the Int.

In conclusion, advertisements of new products definitely improve our life, because they tell us about things that make our life easier, save our time and money, and even cook our food better.

Advertisements, one of the symbols of the modern society, arc prevailing in every part of the world. Widespread and influential, advertisements arc capable of convincing people to purchase commodities that they do not need. Among various factors that contribute to the phenomenon is the temptation of seeming
lower price, the influence of celebrities and, in some cases, the exaggerated ftmctions of the products. I he foremost mason for the phenomenon is that hardly anyone is able to resistant to the tempting low price, which is a trick played by the sly and shrewd merchants. For example, there arc always so many products on sale that few of us are able to be sensible and rational enough not to be lured by the huge price tags with "sale" on them. As a matter of fact, the buyers arc hooked by the seeming discount.

By frenetic and irrational shopping, people would stock up piles of items that they actually will not be in need of in the foreseeable future or even for the rest of their lives. Another subtle explanation rests on the fact that celebrities, who have been paid a considerable sum of money, play an important role in the effect of advertisements. Some famous stars are so influential that companies focus their attention on them and make the best use of their fame. As a result, a group of loyal fans would lush into stores and go into rapture if they are fortunate enough to possess one. Consequently, both the stars and the sellers benefit from the commercial game, regardless of what the consumers obtained. The third convincing reason I would like to mention is that the exaggeration made in the advertisements by the merchants is also deceitful.

It is, undoubtedly, confusing and puzzling for ordinary consumers to distinguish the unqualified ones from millions of products presented in front of them. In addition, a majority part of the merchants, some of whom are inadequate and inferior, are in the disguise of appealing appearances. Consequently, if is of no wonder that consumers would buy products preached to be perfect, a considerable number of them are nothing but a waste of money. Naturally, it is probably too reckless to maintain that advertising is a matter of cheating since some accompanying merits also come along with it, such as the aesthetic values.

However, the minor advantages will never prevent us from concluding that advertisements attract consumers to purchase useless products, because of their so called discount, the effect of celebrities and the boastful description.

Importance Of Cleanliness In Our Life Essay

Importance Of Cleanliness In Our Life Essay.........
It is rightly said that cleanliness is next to godliness. It is to be noted that even a dog before sitting at a place cleans it with its tail.

Cleanliness adds charm to life. Even the greatest lover of children is more likely to pick up a comparatively clean child to hug it with love and affection.

It is true that a mother loves her child in whatever form and shape it might be. But an outside observer is not that blinded with love like the mother has reservation and choice.
Cleanliness is essential for good health. It is in the unclean milieu and atmosphere that all the disease causing bacteria. mosquitoes and flies flourish. Hence, we must take all pains to keep our body, clothes, houses and surroundings neat and clean.

Children should be given lessons in cleanliness from the very beginning. They should be taught body hygiene. They should be asked to have a bath daily and to change their clothes daily and put on clean, well washed only. They must brush their teeth regularly. They should wash their hands before eating and take only clean food and pure water.

At school, the children should be made to sit on properly cleaned chairs and benches.

The elders should act as role models for children. They 'should themselves observe all the necessary rules regarding cleanliness. At higher levels the municipalities should be pressed to get the streets swept and drains cleaned regularly.
If all steps are taken at local, state and nation level to observe cleanliness in letter and spirit than our country well b a batter place to live in.

Smoking Effects On Health And Fitness

Smoking is Injurious to Health

Smoking Effects On Health And Fitness....
Smoking is highly injurious to health and its adverse -abets on passive smokers is well established. I, therefore, strongly favour the ban imposed in many public places and office buildings in various countries.
Smoking in public places and office buildings irritates and causes discomfort to non-smokers. Moreover, the passive smokers are also highly susceptible to various diseases like cancer and other ailments based on the findings of various researches. As public places and office buildings are open to all the people especially office workers, no individual has any right to knowingly cause harm/injury to others health.

The health problems caused due to smoking in public places/offices would result in additional financial burden on the exchequer to divert its resources in medical facilities to combat such problems. These avoidable health problems of the employees due to such few irresponsible smokers would result in increased absenteeism and economic loss to the companies. It is a common experience that offenders do not bother to follow any civic rule unless heavy penalty or strong rule is imposed by civic authority.

However, it would be prudent to provide some limited confined places in the public areas and in the office buildings exclusively for the smokers. These rooms are required to be adequately provided with proper devices for removing obnoxious gases like CO2, S02, CO, NO2 etc from the smoke before being released to atmosphere. A nominal fee might be charged from the smokers to discourage their smoking habits.

Finally, I strongly support such rule to impose ban on smoking in public places in order to avoid detrimental effects on the health of common people knowingly.

There is no doubt that we human beings are social animals. Living in a society, we certainly cannot do whatever we like. Putting ourselves in other people's shoes is a key principal to live in a social ptup. Smoking in public will violate this basic rule. Therefore, I believe that people should not allow smoking in public places and office buildings.

It is widely believed that smoking is bad for people's health. Since not everyone likes smoking, the rule banning on public smoking should be enforced. It goes without saying that public spaces such as office buildings, department stores or classrooms are places for everyone including adults and children. The secondhand smokes produced by smokers may be more harmful for the health of nonsmokers according to the New England Medical Journal published several years ago.
Moreover, smoking is bad for the health of smokers. The rule might help the smokers who want to quit smoking. The rule can reduce the opportunities for smokers to smoke and gradually help chain smokers get rid of this bad habit. Smoking is a habit that is not easy to quit. The rule might use its legal power to assist the smokers to protect their own health.

Smoking in public spaces might be dangerous because there am a lot of careless smokers who forget to extinguish the sparkles after they smoke. The indispensable action may lead to big fire and a geat numbers of people will be hurt in the accident Nevertheless, enforcing the rule can prevent the occurrence of accidents.
Some people might believe that it is their rights to smoke Nvherever they please. However, I would say that people who do not smoke have their rights not to inhale second-hand smokes and risk their life in dangerous places. Smokers still can smoke in their private place. such as their bedrooms or living rooms as long as no other people's rights am not damaged. After all, the rule is used to protect the personal liberty of everyone.

Essay On My First Salary

Essay On My First Salary....

Everyone needs money to support his family and enjoy life. I believe that is one of the most important reasons why people go to work. While an average person just cams basic salary, some famous athletes and entertainers can millions of dollars every year. Why is that so? Do these people deserve such high salaries?
Before answering these questions, let me ask you another question, where did your salaries come from? From our employers. Right! Those famous athletes and entertainers made a lot of money for their own employers. Because their skills and achievements on some specific sports or entertainments, other people would like to pay money to watch them playing games or acting in movies. This is part of the nature of human beings. From this aspect, they eamtx1 what they got. They deserve what they earned.

In addition, usually those athletes and movie stars have some special talents in a certain ama. Athletes are experts at some specific sports such as baseball, basketball, football and so on. Movie stars are good at performance art. Average people cannot reach that level, no matter how hard they ty. People who watch their games or movies can obtain happy experiences and enjoyments, which can enrich people's life and benefit people's health. Without sports and =vies, our life would be much boring and less pleasant.
Furthermore, those famous people sacrifice something to get what they have. For example, almost all athletes surfer from injuries because of heavy trainings and physical competitions to win the games. Movie stars have to face the fact that the average people am not only interested in their movies, but also inteited in their personal lives. This is also integral pan of human beings.

Do not be jealous of those famous athletes or entertainers, although we all admire the millions of dollars they made. They have talents, they made us happy and they sacrificed something, either injury or privacy. They earned their own paycheck.

Essay On My Parents Are My Best Teacher

Essay On My Parents Are My Best Teacher
Parents play an important role in the child's upbringing. However, it is not easy to be a good parent, much to the surprise &those who think dealing with young children is a piece of cake. In my view, to be a good parent you have to meet certain requirements that I am going to discuss future in the following paragraphs.
You should spend time with your child. Please do not mistake me. By that I am not saying you must resign from your job and stay at home with your baby all day; instead, I am referring to quality time.

To be a good parent you need to know your child well; if you do not even have the minimum amount of time to start with, how on earth are you going to know your child? No matter how busy you arc, be you a businessman or a police officer, you must get some time off work to be with your child. Knowing how impressionable a child at his tender age is, you cannot expect him to feel close to someone he barely see everyday, much less play the role of a good para However, I am not talking about large amount of time that busy as you arc, you may riot be able to afford. Remember, it is quality time, not quantity time.

You can be a CEO and still be a good parent if you make good use of the limited amount &time you spend with your child. A small talk after dinner or a little son before bed may well perform the magic.

In order to be a good parent, you also have to be strict; it is for the child's own good. He may not like it of course, who will? However, it is from strict parent that a child learns discipline. Under certain circumstance I even agree with the use of force. A good beating or a severe scolding is far easier to remember for a little child than a patient persuasion. He is too young for you to =son with; but you can make him learn his lesson the hard way if the little sweet talk fails. Though I think the use of tome is the last resort a patent should turn to, it is nonetheless rather effective.

A good parent should be caring and loving. A strong bond is Conned between the pann and the child inhere is love. This is something magical and inexplicable but both the parents and the child feel it. What makes a parent so special and important is the unconditional love hcishe gives to his/her child. A loving and caring environment is very crucial in a child's .G's growth. Statistics have shown that those from happy (hinnies have a mom optimistic view of the world and generally live happy lives, wit ile those from broken families or families where both parents quarrel often are mom irritable and peevish. A child's character is easily shaped by the soundings so it is a parixa's possibility to provide a loving environment to histher child.

A good parent should also be a good role model for the chikl to look up to. A child learns many of his habits hum his parents and it is all up to a palm to choose what kind of habits heishe wants hisiher child to inherit. For example, a parent should immediately quit smoking if he/she notices his/her child has the tendcncy to pick up this bad habit. All in all, a good parent thou Id behave himself in order to set good examples to his child.

To be a good parent is hard but not impossible; in fact I believe all those who really put in a gmat deal of effort should find themselves doing well in this job. After all what is mom important is the attitude: if one wants to be a good parents, he can do it.

Short Essay on My School Library

Short Essay on My School library

I study in a big school. The library in the school is also a very big one. It has over 50.000 books in it. It is on the first floor of our school and occupies almost half the floor. The classrooms are all on the ground floor. This keeps the library calm and quiet and the noise of the students does not reach here.

The library is a huge hall and is divided into sections with glass partitions. It has a reading room and one room for the librarian and the staff of the library.

Different sections in the hall arc meant for different kinds of books which are placed on iron shelves. One section is meant for languages. one for literature. one for humanities. on for sciences, for sports and so on.

All kinds of books are available in our school library such as books on literature, history, civics. mathematics. physics. chemistry, painting, music, sports, magic, geography, zoology etc.
The biggest section of books in the library contains children's books. These books cover stories, adventure, fairy tales etc.

I visit the library very often because it is a charming place. I sit and read a book in my free period. Once a week we get a chance to issue a book of our choice.

The library also contributes to a number of magazines and newspapers. A book is given to a student for a week. We have to look after the book and not let it get torn. The magazines and newspapers have to read in the library itself.

Our librarian is a kind man.He help us locate the books we need. In case of any problem he consult the catalogue to help the student in locating a book of their choose.

I love my school labray very much.

True Friendship Essay And Alone Time With Friends

True Friendship Essay And Alone Time With Friends...

There arc many lovely things in our lives such as the fish air on a winter day, the beauty of the country in autumn, learning of love and the growing of a friendship. Everyone has friends or desires friends in the pursuit of sharing emotions. Thus many people enjoy spending most of their time with friends, like me, while others prefer to remain alone.

There is no doubt one needs time for oneself. When I reneat to my dorm at the end of the workday there is no one to tell me what to do. I often write little secrets in my dairy, enjoy soothing music without being disturbed or read philosophy books. Being alone provides a time to reflect and ponder one's figure life course, with a greater clarity and purpose. Accompanied by many friends from the dorm I would have no chance to relish such retreats.

On the other hand, spending time with friends is stimulating and provide a mental break from ones daily routine. Since 1 am a sociable and open person, I invariably feel happy and relaxed when I do things with my close friends. We can take part in all kinds of after-school activities such as playing volleyball, swimming or climbing. Some profound, or stimulating ideas often appear in my mind when I am with such friends while being alone often no such inspiration manifests.

When I come with friends I can always exchange views with them about study, society or love thereby obtaining some interesting information or knowledge. A group of people provides a means of testing one's ideas and learning from one another. When I confront serious problems and I am unsure of which cotuse of action to pursue a close friend provides a means of reassurance that I am not alone in my way of thinking or chosen course of action.

Being with friends can be fun and aid one in overcoming the trying periods in life. Being happy in life means doing the things you enjoy and having someone to share the feeling with you. Being with friends most of time is an enjoyable aspect of life for me as it is a source of inspiration, satisfaction and ongoing education.
Some people like to spend most of their time with their friends. Other people, however, just want to be alone in their spare time. As far as I am concerned, I belong to the latter kind of people.

In the first place, I feel comfortable if I am alone. This is not because I do not like friends, but because of my personal character, quiet and a bit shy. When I am with my friends, I always feel embarrassed since I am always a listener. Trying, to find topics makes me very tired. On the contrary, staying alone does not bother inc. I do not need to discuss with others about what I want to do. Go shopping, go to a movie, go swimming, just do it. The most important thing is,

I do not feel lonely when I am alone.
In the second place, I need to have more time to learn new knowledge. I am working in the field of computer programming. As we know, the development of the computer technology is amazingly fast. If a person has not been working this field for more than five years, he would tind that he has to study from scratch when he decides to pick up his old job. So it goes without saying that I have to update my computer knowledge frequently in order to keep up with my career. Based on this, I do not have much spare time to fool around with friends.

In conclusion, I prefer to spend most of my time alone not only because I am not good at getting along with friends, but also because I have to spend most of time in studying new technology.

A Visit To The Vegetable Market Essay

A Visit To The Vegetable Market Essay
I had heard that a fish market is the noisiest place in the world. But, last Saturday, when I visited the local vegetable market. I felt that probably the expression 'fish market' contained half the truth only. I think the vegetable market is the noisiest place in the world.

The market was not only noisy hut also filthy. The stench was all pervasive. I wondered how the vegetable sellers could sit the whole day in the dirt and smell. Cows, dogs and other animals were also mingling with human beings.

I. however. realised that just as I was compelled by circumstances to go to the market others must be also visiting it out of compulsion.

I had taken my servant with me and ordered him to carry few bags with him. We contacted different vendors and shopkeepers. We haggled with them over rates.

Finally we filled our bags and sacks with carrots. radishes, turnips, peas, cabbages, cauliflowers, potatoes, tomatoes etc.  indeed whatever we could lay hands on at a reasonable rats. We hired a rickshaw and returned home. I thanked of God that I had not got an infectious skin disease like scabies, eczema etc. while going through the dirty vegetable market.

Short Essay On My Pet Animal

Short Essay On My Pet Animal..............

All children, and even grown tips, are fond of keeping pets. Some have fishes, cats, rabbits and parrots at their pets. I have a dog for a pet.

The name of my pet is Tarzan. He is a ferocious dog. He is a big dog and has large bright eyes.
I got my dog from my cousin. He was going abroad and wanted a good home for his dog who was then a puppy. I was only too happy to volunteer and that is how I got Tarzan.

Targan is dark brown in colour and barks very loudly at all strangers. Even the postman and other delivery men are scared of coming inside our house. In fact when Tarzan is in the courtyard, no thieves or burglars dare think of entering the premises of the house.

Tarzan loves to cat bread, meat and drink milk. It accompanies me for my walks and enjoys barking at other dogs. I always put Tarzan on a leash so that the passerby's do not get scared or traunatised.

I bathe it daily with dog soap and also comb its hair- coat. Tarzan is a clean dog and never spoils the floor of the house.

It sleeps in one corner of my room. When it is very cold in winters I smuggle it on to my bed and feel very warm and cosy.

I love Tarzan very much and thank God for giving me such a lovely and affectionate pet.

The postman is a very useful member of society. He brings us letter from our friends and relatives who live at long distances from us. He brings us messages of joy and sorrow. He does his duty in the sun and rain.
The postman is perhaps at the lowest level in the post and telegraph set up.

He is not very educated and also does not get paid much. But if a postman is hard working and continues his studies during his spare time and passes graduation, he can at least rise to the post of clerk in a post office.

The postman has:to do his duty whether he is appointed in an urban or a rural area. His duty starts in the morning and ends late in the afternoon or in the evening.

The postman often goes to far off places on his bicycle. He gets a uniform annually but his salary is very low while the duty is hard. In rural areas the postman has sometimes to read letters to illiterate recipients. Sometimes he may even have to write a letter for them.

The postman brings letters, post cards, money orders, parcels and telegrams. People wait for him eagerly. Sometimes he gets gifts on New Year's Day or marriages and births.

In this day of telecommunications advancement the role of the postman is becoming less important for people. Yes, he still remains a lovable person and deserves better pay and facilities from the authorities.

Essay Importance Of Cleanliness In Our Life

Short Essay On My Garden For Kids

Short Essay On My garden For Kids. My favorite place is my garden. There are three reasons my garden is my favorite place. My garden is my favorite place because I enjoy working there, watching the plants mature, and the reward of sharing crops with others. First, my garden is my favorite place because I enjoy working there.

I have to cultivate the land to prepare for the seeds. Then I have to place the seeds into the soil, cover them, and next start the process of irrigation. Every day, twice a day, I water my plants with a rotary sprinkler. Second, my garden is my favorite place because I enjoy watching the plants mature.

I search for the seedlings to sprout and then for the sprouts to grow into mature plants. As I watch the mature plants grow, a colorful bloom comes to life. The blooms are colorful as well as beautiful. Next the blooms die off, and a little vegetable is formed. I love to see the diverse plants.Third, my garden is my favorite place because I enjoy the rewards as well as the benefits.

The rewards are sharing the crops with others. It’s a good feeling to share with others. I enjoy having conversations with other people about different types of plants and the soil. School Life And My Friends Essay

School Life And My Friends Essay

During my school life, I have had many ups and downs in school. I have gotten in trouble and I have had struggles but most importantly, I have always had good grades and great friends. Grades were never the problem. The problem was when I got bored; I would talk and it would lead to me getting in trouble. I also felt like some of the teachers didn’t like me but also I felt like most of them loved me.During my Elementary and Middle School years, I did very good and never got into trouble and had good grades. I also participated in different programs and different events that kept me busy.

In those school years, I always had something to do for school before I even thought about getting in trouble. I don’t know why but when I hit High School my whole mentality changed and I started getting in trouble. I think my whole mind frame changed the summer before I started my first year of High School. When you’re in school, the main thing people try not to do is not get in trouble.

Well in my case, I got in trouble a lot. Not because I was bad and did major things but mostly because I was either talking or I was sleeping. The school work most of the time was self-explanatory and not hard at all. I would always get finished with my work early and then have nothing to do for the rest of the period, which was very boring. I used to lie my head down and fall asleep.

Don’t get me wrong now, I did have some struggles with the schoolwork to the point where I got frustrated and took a break. My hardest subject was Math; it was just difficult and would always get me mad because I always did badly on the work. Once I left high school I decided to get my G.E.D. I enrolled in the adult education program and took the TABE test. After the test, I found out that I hadgotten good scores on the TABE test. In fact, I got one of the highest scores in the whole G.E.D class. So no matter what happens, you always have to remember that education is very important. Education is the key to success. Without
education you cannot go anywhere in life.

So what I am doing now is one of the best decisions I have made in my life, which is to get my G.E.D. at Dunbar Community School!

Special Day In My Life Essay

Special Day In My Life Essay
My special day has to be the day my cancer disappeared. I can’t remember the exact day because I was
only five years old, but it was a great day for many reasons: I became a miracle, my family was happy, and no longer did I have to be caged in a hospital. For starters, I became a miracle! Most people that get cancer don’t survive, but God made an exception with me and gave me a second chance.

I proved that with a lot of faith anything is possible. In other words, doctors can only go so far, but then there’s God who can go further. Also, my family was happy. My mother was always worried and did not know what would happen; nevertheless she never lost hope.

When the doctors came to my mother and family with the great news about the miracle I had never seen my family that happy before! For example, they looked like they won the lottery. Last, but not least, nolonger was I caged in a hospital! When I was sick, I remember being at thehospital in a small dark room for months at a time.

I’ve always been the type to run around and play no matter what, ha,ha,ha! For instance, once I got so bored at the hospital that I ran all over the place. In conclusion, my special day was the day God made my cancer disappear for the rest of my life. I became a miracle! All I can say is that life should be lived like if tomorrow was to never come because you don’t know what can happen tomorrow.

Short Essay On Importance Of Adult Education

Short Essay On Importance Of Adult Education ....

How important is adult education? In the entire world education is the key for success. People go to school to have a better life. This is the reason it’s never too late to learn, no matter what the age of the person. In a few words, I’ll explain the value of adult education. It’s a pleasure for me to talk about my experience in adult education and literacy.

As an adult, going to school to learn English has demanded a lot of effort from me to improve my English. If I would like to have a limited accent in English I need to practice every single day. Practice is the only way one succeeds. When I was in class with my teacher and the other students,
we considered ourselves as a family.

Each of us always tried to help other students. The teacher is always ready to help us improve our ability to have better skills with our speech and grammar.

In my way of thinking I can suggest to every adult not to be scared to go to school, no matter what your age because education is very important for your success.

Essay On Life Without Friends Is Boring

Today my topic is Essay On Life Without Friends Is Boring...
Them are people in this world that prefer to live on their own, to stay as far as possible for the company of other people, to enjoy the silence and comfort of being alone, without anyone to bother them. For my pan. I cannot imagine my life to be like that. I really think that thends are very important in my life and I like to spend as much time as possible with my friends. It is hard for inc to enjoy the splendors of life without having anyone to share my feelings with. I have too often been away from home, from my friends and family.

I have seen wonderad places and things that could make me incnxlibly happy. However, the true happiness came only at the time when I could share my expaiences thinly ftiends. Everywhere I go I need to find at least one person that in the end I can call a friend. Going to a conceit, to a movie or enjoying a party, it is inconceivable not to go with a friend. I do not =ail ever going to a concert on my own. And I missed several occasions to go to events that I really wanted to attend just because my friends were unable to make it, and 1 could not go without them.

MoreOver friends can help each other. It is good to know that somewhat there is at least one person \ thorn you can depend on when you am in need. I also enjoy, helping my friends. Doing something good for someone is a really rewaiding experience. While with my friends, we can also have discussions and share opinions on our futum plans, our ideas, our thoughts, and our problems.

Although there are arguments on the patt of leading a life on your OW11, and not depending on other people, I strongly believe that friends, family, people around you am important part of our life. Life is so wonderful because the people around you.

Essay On My Good Habits And Bad Habits

Habits are either good or bad. Even good habits, if given free play, may turn into bad ones. For example, reading is a good habit. It helps in acquiring knowledge, in meaningful use of leisure time and healthy entertainment. But excess of reading books, magazines etc., is harmful. It would soon tell upon one’s health, resources, mental fitness and capacity to earn. Balance is the golden rule.

That is why it is said, “Excess of everything is bad” nothing too much, not even good things and habits.
It is easy to acquire bad and evil habits but not so, easy to cultivate and acquire good ones. Habits once acquired are difficult to get rid of. As a leopard cannot change its spots so one cannot change ones habits. They die hard. They become part and parcel of one’s nature and behaviour. Bad habits render a person useless an undesirable.

Telling lies, back biting, spitting here and there, smoking, or taking alcohol frequently and repeatedly are some of the bad habits. They can be as many as there are persons. Like a name, a habit sticks fast till the death. Habits can make or mar our fortunes. They actually form the foundation of our character and destiny. That is why it is said, “Sow an act and you reap a habit. S6w a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a destiny”. They are the very cornerstones of our character and destiny.

We are the makers or destroyers of our destiny. Because we cultivate, practice and acquire good or bad habits and their fruits accordingly. One may have a bad habit of flattering others or of making false promises. Similarly, one may have a bad habit if stealing things. One habit leads to another, and then there is a sort of chain of habits to from which an escape is impossible, particularly in advanced age.

Anything done often and repeatedly becomes a habit the force of habit is very powerful. It makes the particular habit easy, automatic and repetitive. Habits have their origin in repetition, practice and regularity. The more we repeat and practice anything, the easier, permanent and automatic it becomes. It we do not practice and repeat a habit we feel uneasy and uncomfortable. Take for example, the habit of taking tea. There are people who consume 20 or more cups of tea daily. They may do without food, newspapers or rest, but cannot dispense with hot cups of tea taken almost every hour of the day.

They will feel sick, lethargic, bored and useless without enjoying their cups of tea. Same is the case with smokers or drunkards. Habits are too forceful to be avoided. It is the constant and repeated use and practice that gives birth to a habit. Without constant and repeated use and frequency there cannot be any habit. Anything done or practiced occasionally cannot be called a habit. Habits are another name of addiction.

Early and formative years of childhood are very important in this respect. Then it is very easy to have new impressions and influences. It is the proper time to cultivate good habits. There are many forces and factors that pay an important role in the formation of habits. Early education, impressions, influences, company, associations etc, are some of the major factors in the formation of habits. Slowly antic gradually they get ingrained in our nature. Man is also an imitative being. He likes to imitate others. Imitation also helps much in the formation of habits, bad as well as good. Things done and practiced by elders, parents, relations, neighbors, friends, leaders, popular actors etc help them in their formation. For example, a boy who sees his father smoking is very likely to have this evil habit. The boy may imagine that there must be some joy, excitement and thrill in the habit that is why his father indulged in it. One day he may try it stealthily as smoking material is easily available in the home. Gradually he may become a habitual smoker and spread it among his friends and associates.

Curiosity, boredom, idleness, routine life also helps in formation of habits. It is said that an entry mind is a devil’s workshop. An idle person is apt to develop bad habits like playing cards, gambling, stealing, drug-addiction etc. Bad company and association often lead innocent boy’s mad girls’ into the vicious habits. A drug-addict-may offers a drug, free of cost, to his friend at first and thereby helps him form a bad habit of taking drugs. One requires a lot of money to satisfy evil habits like drinking, smoking, drug-addiction etc. They may ultimately lead a person to stealing, lying, borrowing and even worse actions.

Man can be said to be a bundle of habits. They may be good or bad. There cannot be a person wholly good or wholly evil. Speaking truth, frankness, honesty, service to others, cleanliness, reading good books etc., are some of the good habits. They must be encouraged and helped among the young men and women. Good habits should be appreciated, encouraged and rewarded, “Example is better than precept”. We should always put examples of good and meaningful habits before the children and young men and women. We must create an atmosphere where good habits are always infectious. Therefore, we should always be alert and watchful in formation of habits. Bad habits should be nipped in the bud and good ones should be tried and practiced again and again, for they would die and perish for want of these.
