Essay On Hope Is A Great Healer - Hope Is Life

Essay On Hope Is A Great Heal.Last year we saw many alarming economic events. Prestigious firms such as Lehman Brothers collapsed, and Merrill Lynch was taken over by Bank of America. The insurance conglomerate AIG was bailed out by the federal government, and Seattle-based Washington Mutual was under a cloud. Financial meltdown, corporate bankruptcy, inflation and economic crisis are everywhere. If you turn on the TV or listen to the news on the
radio, you soon notice that these words occupy a large amount of time.

During the news, the financial trouble of some large banks has sent shock waves through the stock market resulting in a downward shift in many people's portfolios. Seniors wonder if their savings will last. Young adults wonder if they will ever be able to retire. Sixty-eight percent of the people in the US are feeling financial pressure. People have stopped buying homes; instead they are using their money on everyday expenses. Small companies are rapidly going out of business.

Families are in such a strain that they have stopped paying their mortgages and are defaulting on their loansIn this turbulent environment two things remain steadfast. They are faith and hope. Will things get better? I believe that they will (being the optimist I am), but of course, I cannot answer that question. How long will it take? I certainly cannot answer that one either. What I do know is that everything happens for a reason and what we see happening to us today is only the building block for tomorrow.

No matter how hard times seem, how stressful times are, how hopeless times feel, or how helpless we may feel, the one thing we always have is the strength and resources within us to keep a positive attitude and to keep the hope that pushes us forward. Is this a huge depression? Or has the media blown it out of proportion in order to capitalize on negative news? After every downturn, recession or depression, the US economy has come back stronger than ever.

In the late 1920's and early 1930's, the US had the Great Depression. The country survived. In the early to mind 70's, when gas prices doubled, again the country survived. In the 80's, when the stock market lost 20% of its value in a matter of a week, the country survived again. Economic health requires that we work together; changing attitudes could be the first stop. We must trust again, have faith and hope. With this and perseverance, we will not only survive - we will thrive.
Essay On Learning English Language.I have a plan to learn English and to use it comfortably. At first I just wanted to learn English to make a high score on tests for getting a job, but now I really want to be fluent in English. Speaking freely with Americans and laughing while watching American movies is my dream. I decided to keep studying English after I go back to my country, Korea.  I have tried to learn English by diverse experiences. I think that being used to foreigners’ good pronunciations is the first step to learning English.

I could not understand whatever somebody told me in spite of easy words that I had already known, so I have watched American TV every day more than one hour. I could not understand all they said, but it is good for me to be familiar with foreigners’ pronunciation.  Also, I am a student in an ESL class. I really like to go to my class three times a week. I can learn English step-by-step in reading, grammar, pronunciation, speaking and writing in my class.

My teacher makes it interesting to learn, so I want to go to the school.  I usually do volunteer work folding the region’s newspaper in a service center with my grandmother every Wednesday afternoon. I can meet American people and talk to them in English, and they sometimes offer good foods and drinks to me. This is a good chance for me to learn English.I do not have my car, so I cannot go anywhere by myself. When I have a chance to go somewhere with my family, I always go to see and hear everything to help me to learn English.

The experience in contacting real American life makes me understand the American culture, so I always follow my aunt and cousin somewhere, just like their pet.  It is not easy for me to become used to English, but I will study hard. I have already spent a lot of time studying English in America. I hope that as time goes on, I will get good at speaking English. I will do my best.

Essay On Women Voting Rights

Essay On Women Voting Rights. One reason I voted was because I recently registered to vote for the very first time. The second reason is because the person I was voting for was talking about change that reflected on my life. The third reason is that it is an honor to vote if you can vote. Do it! Now, I’m going to tell you how I voted. First, it was a Saturday morning. My parents and I had all decided to go down and vote together. It was so exciting because it was my first time voting out of my 19 years here on Earth.

On the way down to the election office, I was so nervous. Once we arrived, I saw the long line. It looked as if everybody was trying to vote. When it came my time, I showed them my license and they gave me my voting ballot, and I went to a booth and oted. After I got through, I was so happy and proud! Second, what really made me want to vote was watching the news, and the person I voted for was talking about change.

I was happy to hear positive things about how the world could be ifhe were elected President, and I really feel like he cared about what is going on. Third, I feel like if you can vote, you should. It is an honor, not everyone can vote. However, if you are eligible to vote, please do so. Every vote counts and your vote can make a difference.

Voting is a way of making a difference, and that matters a lot. Finally, now you know my three reasons on why I voted. It was my first time, and it was the right President I had wanted to vote for, and it is an honor to vote!

Essay On My Home My Room Essay

Essay On My Home.A place that is special to me is my home. It is important to me because I worked so hard for it. It is a place I can also run away to and get away from outside problems. It is a place where my family and I can have fun together. That is why my home is special to meThe first reason that my home is a special place is because I worked so hard to get it. My boyfriend, Cody, and I have worked on our jobs to bring in extra money, to get our place.

We went through living with a lot of people and dealing with people who had bad ways. Going through that showed me how important it would be to have our own home. We saved our money and got our own apartment. That made my family's life a lot easier. My family and I all really appreciate having our own place. The second reason my home is special place for me is that I can get away from outside problems.

When I have problems at school, work, or anywhere else, being at home always makes them easier to handle. As soon as I step one foot in my home, life just feels better. Sometimes I think of my home as a peaceful getaway. The last reason why my home is special to me is because it is where my family and I have fun. One of the things we do that is fun is movie night. We pop popcorn, get a couple of movies and
enjoy each other all night long.

Other things we do together to have fun at home are play games, read books, and play I spy. Meal time is also special because we are all together in the kitchen and then at the dinner table. Those are the three reasons why my home is special to me.
Essay On Value Of Education. My education is very important to me for several reasons. It is a gateway to my success and a career path of my choice. In addition, having an education will help me obtain a higher paying job. Finally, by pursuing my education, I will be setting an example for my daughter as a role model. To begin with, successfully completing my GED and then continuing to graduate with a degree will open several career paths. Certain jobs I am not qualified to do because I currently lack the education and experience will no longer be an obstacle.

As a degreed graduate, I will have the training and certifications to show I am willing to make the commitment to learn and process what is needed to effectively demonstrate the skills and attitude employers are seeking. Secondly, I will be able to make a more privileged income. Dead end or fast food jobs do not meet the financial needs of my family. I need an elevated income and to become financially successful. I
want to work in a career that is both satisfying and can support the financial needs of my family.

I am currently considering a career as a sonographer with a two year degree. Lastly, I will be setting an example for my baby. She can learn from errors and my successes. Education will be a success for her in ways that it was not for me early on. I will be providing her with the oversight and school involvement that will compel her to be successful in school.

She will see firsthand that hard work and dedication are the formula for educational success. In conclusion, those are my three main reasons for the importance of an education. Education and career is a gift and opportunity that is not to be wasted. I can hardly wait to get started creating opportunities for my daughter. She is my life, I want her to be proud of me and I know she will.
Essay On A Visit To A Shopping Mall.My favorite place to visit is the shopping mall. It has two stories and there are many different kinds of stores to visit. There are clothes stores, music and movie stores, arcade rooms and restaurants.  One of the stores that I like to go to is the music store so that I can check out the new music releases. My favorite music is country and I can enjoy listening using the store’s headphones and music screens.

Whenever I go, I always go to the country music section and look for particular artists and their new songs.  In the clothes stores, they not only have clothing, but sell jewelry, perfume, shoes, and other items. My favorite section is the perfume counter. I always check out the different scents. I also like to try on clothes and I like to buy them! ometimes I look at jewelry, particularly earrings, but there are times when I look at rings and watches.

There are times when I like to go to the arcade room to play some of the games. There are games that give you a certain amount of tickets depending upon what score in the game you receive. They also have games that you just play with another person. I enjoy the game of pool the most.  I also like to eat in the mall’s restaurants, especially if it’s a Chinese or Mexican restaurant.

I love stir-fry and tacos. Thismakes my visit to the mall worth it and these are the reasons why the shopping mall is one of my favorite places to go.

Essay On The Importance of Education

Why is education so important for us? Where is the beginning of education? There are a lot of interesting, also very important and explosive thoughts for this topic. A few people suppose that refined people are happier than the others. I will show you if they are right! Good education can lead to a great career opportunity for many people. People have the possibility to get to a higher level at work and earn more money. But it is very important to say that to get a higher level at work does not only depend on the best education.

Learning during your whole life and making your own experiences is what makes you successful in combination with your education. To be successful in your job represents freedom for many people.
They feel free in their own act. Furthermore, there is another point of view or rather a question that
you can highlight. Is it really important to have a nice or an expensive lifestyle? Probably not, but life can be more comfortable and colorful.

Good education can also lead to a nice lifestyle. Sometimes people get more money and consequently they are interested in new clothes or maybe to have a speedy car or to build a bigger house for their family. Everyone enjoys spending a lot of time with the family, going on vacation. However, don't forget that this expensive lifestyle could change your life immediately!

The last two paragraphs show that the career opportunity and to have a nice or expensive lifestyle can improve or beautify the whole life. But on the other hand, it is very necessary to think of the poor and sick people and not only of yourself. These people need the bounties and maybe they depend on people who are able to donate because they live in a better situation.

Wealthy people build sometimes a charity organization; they collect money for sickkids or hospices. Getting better health insurance, to go in the right hospital or to find a specialist is not easy for everyone in these days. Many people in the world are not able to buy healthy food for their kids and for themselves. It seems to be very important to support poor people if you have the possibility.

What education means to me, this is a very complex question! Only a few details could be highlighted. In summary you could say that good education means the material aspect where people live in comfort, in a nice neighborhood and where they donate for poor and sick people. But furthermore there is the mental activity, using the brain as good as possible that describes the same significance. The mental activity or aspect and the material aspect should represent a healthy balance!

Essay On My Favorite Place College Essay

Essay On My Favorite Place. The cat stretched a lazy smile baring his feline fangs and extending his needle-point claws. And oh what a lazy afternoon it had been. Though the heat of the day still lingered the sun sought distant horizons on which to cast itself upon another day. The fragrance of freshly cut grass lingered on the warm evening breeze

while dragonflies, as if controlled by a child’s hand held remote, snared the victims’ of their early evening meal. I had taken my cue from the cat, Streak, who seemed to be able to nap forever. I, on the other hand, was forever trying to nap, but managed on occasion to inspire a siesta.

Originally an orphan, Streak had been abandoned in the remote corner of a convenience store parking lot. Fate intervened; Streak was recued, and is now a permanent member of our endearing family.  I stretched and yawned, orienting myself as my attention was drawn to the ping of glassware echoing from the kitchen. Earlier my wife, and our daughter of four, had treated me to tasty morsels of fruit and cheese: a perfect Saturday noontime meal. I would have been satisfied with stacks of sugar and piles of preservatives, said to be two of America’s favorite food groups, but alas, I am too well taken care of. Soon I would have to get busy, for dinnertime was rapidly approaching and I had officially been elected “master of the grill”.

I looked forward to searing steaks over an open flame though it’s not quite the same as the thrill-of-the-kill, that primal instinct to fend for one’s meal. Fending for the almighty dollar and paying tribute to the local neighborhood meat market is about as close to the ancestral slaying as I care to get. If I’m going to have to do any cutting let it be the cellophane wrapper of a pre-packaged New York strip, baked potato optional. With the steaks on a plate I stood before the grill’s smoky flame and was struck with an epiphany of almost surreal understanding.

There I was, at that exact moment, doing something I truly enjoyed for those who I cared for most: that my idea of goodness, greatness, or best was ultimately no more than a product of my own interpretation, my own private concept.I remember a time when things could get no better than a warm sunny day or a blue sky afternoon. That changed when I discovered girls. Then came cars – cars and girls. Could it get any better than that? We grow. We develop. Our priorities change with time. Things of importance eventually become the relics of our own passed memories, laid by the wayside of our ever changing lives. Eventually, though, we arrive at a point where all of ourdreams, desires, and ambitions come together.

Sometimes this happens slowly. Other times it’s as if the proverbial light bulb has been lit over our head.  Since the beginning of creation we have been on a path which inevitably arrives at that moment in time when we say to ourselves: “Here I am”. For me, surrounded by life, laughter, and the people I love most: who in return love me too: I can honestly say I have arrived – at my favorite place.
Essay On Science A Blessing Or A Curse And Science In Daily Life Essay

The modern age is the age of science. The influence of science can be seen in every walk of life. Science has provided us with many wonders. If our ancestors happen to visit the modern world they will not able to recognise it. The world today is completely changed. Its complexion and has especially changed during the last three hundred years or so. In a way the world has become a fairy-land as compared with the ancient times.

The Contribution of science is seen in our daily life. It has increased the happiness and comforts of human beings greatly. It has our domestic life very easy. Now the housewife does not have to work very hard. With the help of the latest cooking devices meals can be cooked quickly. Food can also be preserved for a long time in the refrigerator. The clothes can be washed in the washing machines. Thus a housewife can enjoy more leisure and can save a lot of her time.

Science has also given us fans and air conditioners. With the help of these we can save ourselves from the scorching heat of the sun in summer and keep the rooms warm with the help of room heaters in the winter. Thus our houses are lighted, cooled and heated with the latest scientific gadgets. Electricity is really a great wonder of science. All types of machinery can be lifted and trains can be run with electricity.

Science has also made travel very comfortable. There are so many modes of travel available to us. We can travel by railway trains, motor cars. buses or steamers. Aeroplanes have brought the different countries quite close to each other. With in a few hours we can travel thousands of mile and reach different corners of the world. Thus all the nations of the world have become one family. The world has really become much smaller. The bicycles, motor cycles, scooters, shops and the jumbo jets of the twentieth century are the beautiful gifts of science.

Science has also revolutionised the methods of communications. We can talk with our friends and relatives thousands of miles away from us with the help of modern scientific devices like telephone, wireless telegraphy. and internet. We can also send message to different parts of our country and even to all corriers'of the world within a few hours. Through radio broadcasts messages can be conveyed to all parts of the world. On the television we can not only hear the voices but can also see what is being telecast. Broadcasts made from England and America can be heard all over the world.

Science has also helped mankind to fight against dangerous diseases. It has lessened the sufferings and miseries of man. Many diseasees which were incurable in the past can be cured now. It has also worked wonders in the field of surgery. Operations can be out even on delicate parts of the body like brain and heart. Even transplantation of hearts and kidneys has become possible. With the help of X-rays hidden disease in the body of man can be diagnosed easily. It is a fact that science has give eye the blind. The lame has been provided with legs. Science has thus given a new lease of life to the diseased and the injured.
Science has also reduced the burden of the workers. The arduous and the difficult jobs can be done by machines. It has also taken over the dirtiest jobs from man. With the help of machines and instruments huge weights can be lifted and goods produced on a very large scale. It has also provided many sources of entertainment to man like cinema, radio. television, books, etc.

Science has helped in increasing the agricultural production through scientific methods of farming like better seeds, fertilizers. better implements. etc. It is with the help of science that man has reached the moon and now he is probing other planets like Mars and Venus.

But this is only one side of the picture. If in certain respects it has proved a blessing it has also acted as a curse in certain fields. It has produced highly destructive weapons like atom bombs and hydrogen bombs which can destroy the world in no time. During the second world war laces of people were killed in Hiroshima and Nagassaki when U.S.A. dropped atom bombs on them in 1945.
Science has produced many deadlier weapons and made wars very horrible. If a Third World War takes place in the near future, it might destroy all life on the earth as it will be a nuclear war. Man was never so insecure as he is today.

But in reality there is nothing wrong with science. It is upto the man to decide whether he wants to use it for peaceful purses or for destructive purposes. Science is such a knowledge which can be turned both into a blessing and curse. But man should always use science for the promotion of peace and happiness-of mankind. It should never be used for war or destructive purposes.
Essay On Science And War And Advantages Of Technology Essay

Whether man is warlike by nature or not is doubtful. But people like Hitler may think that war is the natural manifestation of the great nations. But wars have been there right from the beginning of the life on earth. The desire to dominate and the ambition to enslave others had been the motive-forced behind war. As these are the psychological weakness of man so man has always been trying to make himself stronger than any other person. That is why science has been harnessed for waging war.

Science has made war more horrible and destructive. The invention of the nuclear weapons and bombs spell doom for the earthly people. It has generally been said that if there is world war perhaps the whole of the living population of earth will come to an end. Once the great scientist. Einstein was asked as to how the world war third would be fought. He replied that 'I don't know about the. Third world war. if fourth world war is fought it will be with the help of stones-. In other words he meant to say that after the third world war the world will reel back to the primitive age.

Different scientists have given different explanations for the complete destruction on earth after the nuclear war. Some say that the heat produced by Megaton and Cobalt bombs will be so much that it is impossible for human beings to live: everything will be reduced to dust. Some others say that the explosion of the nuclear devices will consume so much of oxygen that it will be impossible for the people to breathe. Still others say that the earth may crack and poisonous gases may start coming out of the earth. Many others think that the snow on the mountains would melt and the whole of the other way the world xx ill come to an end after a nuclear war.

Science has given the instruments of death that give much power to man. Green-war-fare is equally dangerous. It will make the people to suffer from fatal diseases. Some of the poisonous gases are also made to pollute the atmosphere. Apart from this, various other weapons are used for killing soldiers and been civilians of the other nations.

Despite this fact it is believed that wars of today have not taken so heavy to a toll of the people as it used to take in the wars of the ancient times. They say that a number of the wounded soldiers are saved and the people do not die of diseases as they used to die during wars in ancient times. Plague and other serious diseases used to be the aftermath of those wars. Now-a-days medical facilities and other types of protections provided by science have made it possible for the human beings to save themselves from the Scourge of war. Similarly scientific invention like satellites, radars and many other electric devices are employed to blunt the enemy attacks. So if we take up an overall view of the effect of science upon war it will not be so horrifying as it seems to be.

In fact science has been misused by the politicians and not by the scientists. Scientists are genius and not evil spirits. They never want any destruction. Einstein, for example, was a great lover of peace and non-violence. It is the politicians who misuse their research.. Some may say that if scientists are not disposed' to do harm why they should invent dangerous weapons.Scientific activity is not something that can be directed in a definite direction. It is purely unguided and somewhat natural. In other words science, it cannot be said, has done harm to humanity by giving dangerous weapons. Till the human beings change their outlook it is not possible for them to banish war from the world.
Essay On Man And Machine And Work By Hands Or By Machine Essay

This is the age of machines. Every activity of man has become mechanised. The daily routine of life is not only dependent upon machines but it is also guided by the machines. Machines help us to work, to increase production, to transport the goods from place to place, to do odd jobs for us and also make us to live a better and comfortable life. The work has become easier and it is done with a greater speed and with better precision. Machines help us to overcome a number of hindrances and a number of problems which may not be over come by us so easily.

With the help of machines mountains are blown up and roads are laid. With their help rivers are tamed, planets are observed, educational-aids are employed. In other words machines have become the most important part of our daily life. That is why relation of man and machine has become complementary but sometimes contradictory. One of the most important achievements of machines is that goods have been standardised. The quality of the goods can never fall and it is possible to produce them in large quantities.

As a result of it artisans and craftsman have almost. been replaced by machines. It seems that the artistic skill of man is fact fading even out of the memory. The good, can be manufactured according to certain specifications and as a result of it they can be sold with much ease and confidence. This has given rise to competition between man and machine and it seems that sometimes that competition in quite unhealthy. Mass-scale production of the goods has resulted in the unemployment of a large number of artisans. It is also responsible of competitive spirit which in its turn has given rise to many other problems and malpractice. It is because of mass production that a huge amount of money is spent on publicity and the people are cheated of their hard earned money. Some of the countries because of over-production indulge in certain malpractices, like dumping of the goods, which are very dangerous of the economy of a country. Mass-scale production many times leads to wastage of the national resources.

Machines have in an unknown manner developed mechanical attitude in the case of man. Man looks at things as objects to be experimented upon and he does not have that sense of appreciation which he used to have in the earlier times. The appreciation of beauty is not so spontaneous' as it used to be. Moreover machines have made man, time-conscious and he does not want to waste even a single minute. This attitude has resulted in strain upon his mind. He is all the time worried about the proper utilisation of time. He wants that time should be the deciding factor in his life. This mechanical attitude is not good for the over-all development of man.

One of the worst features of this mechanical age is that man is slowly and slowly replaced by machines. It is feared that man will completely be subordinated to machines. No denying the fact that large scale unemployment is because of machines. Machines can do the work of a large number of the manual workers that is why a number of people are rendered jobless.

Total dependence upon machines is definitely harmful. It is not good to allow the machines to dominate man's life. If man is to work with the help of machines and is to depend totally upon machines it will not be possible for man to remain his normal self Machines when they become masters crush the very spirit of man and ring an end to all good qualities of man as a creature of God. Man has moral sense which animals don't have and machine makes man indifferent to all the higher things of life we become earthly and earthy.

Essay On Television Advantages And Disadvantages

Essay On Television Advantages And Disadvantages

Television is one of the most important miracles of science. It has brought about a revolution in the field of entertainment. education and communication. Indeed mankind should be grateful to its inventor J.L. Baird who has brought the cinema and stage into the houses of the masses. One can now watch moving, talking and living pictures on the screen while sitting in one's home.

Thus, while sitting in our homes, we can watch all kinds of programmes which are televised. Many educative and informative programmes can also be shown on the television which are a great help to the students and the masses. Television is especially very valuable for an under-developed country like Pakistan where a great majority of the people are illiterate and live in the villages. The people can be imparted much information and education through the television programmes.

Now one can enjoy the films while sitting at one's own house. among the members of the family. Many dramas can also be shown on the television. Through talks, delivered by the eminent scholars the people can be informed about the latest happenings and the current problems. The politicians, scientists, social workers and other eminent persons can also talk to the people directly through the medium of television. Thus the benefits of television are numerous. People can hear the point of view of all eminent persons, which can greatly help them in forming their opinions.

Television can also help in removing the social and political evils from the society. It can highlight the evils of dowry. drinking. gambling, etc. and help in their removal. Similarly the government programmes like family planning afforestation, adult education and cleanliness of the cities can also be propagated through the medium of television very successfully.

During the time of election the results of the successful candidates can also be announced through the television. The V.I.P.s like the President, the Prime Minister, etc. can also keep a direct contact with the people by addressing them on television.

Of course. with its advantages the television also has certain disadvantages. If a person spends too much time in watching television every day, he will become lazy and shirk work. He would like to sit idle and waste his time. If one sees pictures from a close distance on the television set, it affects the eye-sight. It is thus very risky for the small children who always sit very close to the television set. The students also get the bad habit of seeing films on the television. During the television time the students do not pay any attention to their studies which will affect their educational career. The use of television set also increases the electricity bill greatly.

Inspite • of all these disadvantages, the advantages are definitely more. In the field of education and entertainment its vast importance cannot be denied.
Essay On The Wonder Of Science And Atomic Energy Essay

Twentieth century is the age of science. Science has progressed by leaps and bounds. It has brought about many revolutions in the life of a man. Rather, science has changed the very life and living of a man. It has transformed the very face of the earth. Science has bestowed upon humanity great and far-reaching inventions and discoveries. Nay, it has blessed mankind with such instruments and contrivances as have earned the name of wonderful phenomenon for science.

The wonders of science are too many to be enumerated hut still some wonders need mentioning. The entire growth and advancement of science is really a vast subject. But some of the wonders which science has provided to the human race are decidedly remarkable.

In the sphere of health and hygiene. science has caused wonder. Penicillin. streptomycin and other drugs have proved to be miraculous cures. Terrible and chronic diseases have been overcome by science. It has conquered death and disease. It has prolonged the life span of man: plastic surgery can transform an ugly woman into a beauty queen. X-rays can detect the defects in the bodies of living beings.

In the field of transport and communication, the advancement of science is amazing. The names like electric trains. aeroplanes and ships are well known to a layman. The gadgets which go by the name of rockets and Sputniks, missiles and jets, have shortened the world because of their tramendous speed. In one day, we can visit many cities of the world. Distance and time have ceased to hold any barrier in this age of science and technology.

Atomic energy is one of the most wonderful blessings of science. This energy not only promises to satisfy the immense. needs of this energy-hunger civilisation but can work miracles because it is man) times more powerful than electricity. Atomic energy can run mills, factories and great industrial and technological establishments and atomic explosions can also be used for levelling mountains and digging canals.
Science has glorified machines. It has increased the efficiency, though this has led to some unemployment and insanitary conditions. The use of tractor, agricultural instruments chemical and insecticides have increased the average output. By applying scientific methods in agriculture, the yield of farms has multiplied.

On the whole, the wonders of science are countless. Science has taught us to swim like fish in water and to fly like birds in air. It has given man comforts and facilities like telephone, television, fans, air-conditioned buildings. In the field of science the difference between summer and winter is negligible. Science can be used to eliminate poverty, to clean slums, to increase production in field as well as factories and for other constructive purposes. All these are, as a matter of fact, the wonder of science.
What Is Advertising,Marketing And Its Types....

The issue of the role of advertising in our lives is a very controversial one. Some people think that advertising encourages us to buy things that we tray do not need, because they claim that advertisements have the power to influence on our purchasing behaviour. Nevertheless, my point of view is that advertisements arc incredible source of imagination about new products that may improve our lives.

First of all, these advertisements can help us to choose things easier and also save our time. For example, as a result of such an advertisement, a few years ago I bought very useful tool to lose my weight. The only thing that I needed to do was to attach it to any problem area of my body for twenty minutes a day. Thus I did not to have do heavy exercises to lose my weight. The additional advantage was that this tool also helped me save time for my favourite activities.
The second reason is that quite often advertisements tell us about new products that can save our money. Again as a result of such an advertisement I bought some special micro fiber cloths, which could help me to clean my apartment only by using water. Thanks to its specific characteristics and possibility of long-time usage, I do not need to buy any more different kinds of liquids or powders for house cleans. Therefore the advancement of this kind of cloth saved my money.

Last but not least advertisements can tell us about new products, which bring us new ways to cook healthier food. Fore instance, after ‘vatching a television advertisement, a friend of mine bought a special pot, with which she can prepare meat and vegetables without using any water or oil. This pot uses only the natural hot steam to cook. Thus it helps to keep more vitamins and minerals in the food, and get rid of the Int.

In conclusion, advertisements of new products definitely improve our life, because they tell us about things that make our life easier, save our time and money, and even cook our food better.

Advertisements, one of the symbols of the modern society, arc prevailing in every part of the world. Widespread and influential, advertisements arc capable of convincing people to purchase commodities that they do not need. Among various factors that contribute to the phenomenon is the temptation of seeming
lower price, the influence of celebrities and, in some cases, the exaggerated ftmctions of the products. I he foremost mason for the phenomenon is that hardly anyone is able to resistant to the tempting low price, which is a trick played by the sly and shrewd merchants. For example, there arc always so many products on sale that few of us are able to be sensible and rational enough not to be lured by the huge price tags with "sale" on them. As a matter of fact, the buyers arc hooked by the seeming discount.

By frenetic and irrational shopping, people would stock up piles of items that they actually will not be in need of in the foreseeable future or even for the rest of their lives. Another subtle explanation rests on the fact that celebrities, who have been paid a considerable sum of money, play an important role in the effect of advertisements. Some famous stars are so influential that companies focus their attention on them and make the best use of their fame. As a result, a group of loyal fans would lush into stores and go into rapture if they are fortunate enough to possess one. Consequently, both the stars and the sellers benefit from the commercial game, regardless of what the consumers obtained. The third convincing reason I would like to mention is that the exaggeration made in the advertisements by the merchants is also deceitful.

It is, undoubtedly, confusing and puzzling for ordinary consumers to distinguish the unqualified ones from millions of products presented in front of them. In addition, a majority part of the merchants, some of whom are inadequate and inferior, are in the disguise of appealing appearances. Consequently, if is of no wonder that consumers would buy products preached to be perfect, a considerable number of them are nothing but a waste of money. Naturally, it is probably too reckless to maintain that advertising is a matter of cheating since some accompanying merits also come along with it, such as the aesthetic values.

However, the minor advantages will never prevent us from concluding that advertisements attract consumers to purchase useless products, because of their so called discount, the effect of celebrities and the boastful description.

  • Why did you go to walk in the moonlight?
  • Where did you go? Was it a full moon day?
  • How was the atmosphere?
  • What do you feel about your walk?

Essay: A Walk in a Moonlit Night Or A Night On A Seashore

To get rid of the bustle of city-life we decided to go away from the noise and clamor of it. We wanted to be in the company of nature and we went to Ganapati Rile in Konkan.

Words fall short to describe the scene of that moon-lit night there. It was the full moon day in autumn. It was Kojagiri. The Queen of the night, the Moon, was in full glory and pouring silver in its cool beams. The earth was bathing in that melting silver. We caught sight of it and thought the nature was inviting us to join. We set out for a walk on the nearby sea-shore. We were wandering in a romantic silvery wonderland. The surroundings were tranquil. The cool breezes brought distant Fragrance of flowers dancing in tune with the bracing wind. The trees put on the mantle of silver and shook their hands with the winds. The sand particles, the pebbles and shells on the seashore took their share from the dropping silver and glittered. The Queen Moon generously poured her silver into the sea and the sea on tide also raised its wavy hands to get even more. What a unique friendship! The more one gave, the more the other asked for.

The atmosphere was romantic. We experienced a heavenly charm. The cool moon beams entered into us and elevated our minds. It was a feast of beauty for our senses. As if haunted by the spell of magic of that moonlit night, we very unknowingly turned our feet to return. The walk in that moonlit night is still carved on our mind.

Essay: A Rainy Day

The summer was at its peak. The scorching sun tortured people with its heat. The summer drizzles also had turned their face away. Every body - the trees, the birds, the earth, the farmers were praying Mother Nature for downpours.

And that day Mother Nature as if heard people and everybody. The dense and dark clouds gathered in the sky. With bright lightening, roaring winds and thunder they poured down rains. The heat subsided. A pleasant coolness quieted the earth and the people. Everybody welcomed the rains.

With the first shower, the fragrance of soil filled our nose and enlived our souls. The trees took a bath in the drizzle, and washed away the dust gathered on them. They looked fresh and greener. The birds spread out their wings and made their feathers wet with the water droplets the flowers washed their faces and looked more beautiful and lively.

A unique combination of pleasant smells filled the surroundings. It rained cats and dogs. The big drops of rain made a tap-dance on the houses and roofs. The eaves started dropping from them. Their rhythm pleased the ears. People took shelter in their houses. But the mothers could not resist their children from leaving their shelters. The water flowing outside tempted them to play in it. They leaped and danced in small puddles. They splashed water. They clapped and shouted. Their faces were lit up with joy.

After half an hour the force of the rain lessened and then it ceased altogether. The streets were wet and muddy. The mud was splashed by the vehicles. Tea-red water flew. Children enjoyed fun and frolic in sailing paper-boats. Slowly the rain disappeared and the sun shining more brightly in the clear sky peeped from among the clouds. Its rays reflected from the droplets dripping from the leaves. II looked like small diamonds. Then appeared that beautiful and glorious procession of seven colours, a rainbow, in the sky. The day which had come to a standstill once again burst out in bustle. People got out of their houses. Birds flew out of their nests and were on the wings chirping. In the villages farmers started their preparations for sowing seeds.

A down pour of only half an hour brought new life in the atmosphere. It brought lovely magic and music of a rainy day in summer. It was a blessing for people perspiring with sweat. It brought a new charm which tempted me to go out for a small walk around.
